Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to WiroTask ("Platform," "Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using WiroTask, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WiroTask regarding your use of our marketplace platform that connects clients with service providers ("Taskers") across West Africa.

To use WiroTask, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to access certain features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4.3 Account Types

Users may register as Clients, Taskers, or both. Each account type has specific rights and responsibilities as outlined in these Terms.

5. Platform Use

5.1 For Clients

Clients may:

• Post tasks with clear descriptions and requirements
• Review and accept offers from Taskers
• Communicate with Taskers through the Platform
• Pay for completed tasks through our secure payment system
• Leave reviews for Taskers upon task completion

5.2 For Taskers

Taskers may:

• Browse available tasks and submit offers
• Communicate with Clients through the Platform
• Complete tasks according to agreed specifications
• Receive payment upon task approval
• Build their reputation through completed tasks and reviews

6. Payments and Fees

6.1 Service Fees

WiroTask charges service fees for using the Platform. These fees are clearly displayed before any transaction is confirmed. Service fees may vary based on transaction size and user status.

6.2 Escrow System

All payments are held in escrow until the task is completed and approved by the Client. This protects both parties and ensures fair transactions.

6.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed in West African CFA franc (XOF). We support various payment methods including mobile money, bank transfers, and credit/debit cards. Payment processing may take 1-3 business days.

6.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis through our dispute resolution process. Both parties must work together to resolve issues before requesting a refund.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Circumvent the Platform's payment system
• Use the Platform for illegal activities
• Share account credentials with others
• Spam or send unsolicited messages
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or reviews
• Scrape or copy content from the Platform without permission
• Interfere with the Platform's operation or security

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of WiroTask or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

By posting content on the Platform, you grant WiroTask a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with operating the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

WiroTask acts as a marketplace platform connecting Clients and Taskers. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of tasks or services
• The accuracy of listings or user profiles
• The ability of users to complete transactions
• Disputes between users
• Acts or omissions of users

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WiroTask shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between users, we encourage resolution through direct communication. If this fails, either party may request mediation through WiroTask's dispute resolution process.

For disputes between users and WiroTask, parties agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiations. Any unresolved disputes shall be governed by the laws of Côte d'Ivoire.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding obligations.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
